As a dentist and father of young children, I have had to admit that, from a child’s point of view, a dental visit can be a scary event. The dental office is full of unfamiliar things – people in masks, noises, and metal instruments. It’s not surprising that some children are afraid of the experience, but they don’t need to be. Do You Feel Anxious When It’s Time to See a Dentist?


Do you suffer from dental anxiety? Many people do. They avoid getting a dental exam because even thinking about it makes them anxious. For some, previous negative or painful experiences with dental procedures are understandably the cause. Times have changed. New procedures and products reduce pain and make dental treatments more comfortable. It no longer makes sense to postpone necessary dental care.
